Application for Contract Faculty Position in the General Education (Language Center )at National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism (Taiwan)

The Language Center at National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism (NKUHT) is seeking candidates for a contract faculty position. Duties include teaching General Education English courses and EMI courses in General Education Center, assistance in implementing an MOE Bilingual Learning Project, and supporting administrative tasks. The search is for candidates to be hired at lecturer (or above) level. The starting date is August 1, 2024, with an initial appointment duration of one year.

Qualifications:

1. Master degree (or PhD) in TESOL, Education, Hospitality and Tourism, Management, or a related field.

2. Should be able to teach English courses (in English) and EMI courses.

Extra considerations:

1. Having been a principal investigator or a participant in research projects sponsored by the National Science and Technology Council, Taiwan or other public/private institutions in the past five years.
2. Native English speakers

8. Documents related to working experiences (experience in Taiwan must be accompanied by labor insurance records; foreign documents must be completed with overseas office verification and accompanied by Chinese translations) and professional certificates.
9. Syllabi for two of the following courses: “News Analysis and Interpretation,” “Cross-Cultural Communication,” “English Listening & Speaking,” or “English Reading & Writing.”
